 A Happy New Year to all. May   all of the resolutions you have considered for 2007 include the finishing of  projects begun but not completed.  Or perhaps I am the only one guilty of starting something new while thinking seriously of finishing  a project begun with  great enthusiasm, and then set by the wayside.

 That is what is nice about new beginnings.!

 We had a great finish to 2006 with our dinner at the Victorian Inn. Thanks to the committee, we enjoyed a festive evening. We even had our brains challenged! Janice Palardy won the prize for answering the most questions correctly. For those of you who missed the fun..what kings do the four kings in a deck of cards represent?

 Looking forward to the meeting on January 24 at 7:00. The mini-applique class will begin promptly at 6:30 with Pat Jones showing her practically perfect method of preparing appliqué pieces. If you are in the class, and have a small iron, please bring that with you.

Carol Swope and Beth Jadwisiak will present a program on painting fabric. (To the husbands of members) HIDE YOUR SHAVING CREAM!  It is another clever idea from our own members. In February Susan Smith will present a program on “button chains” . Should be a good way to end the quilt year.

 Remember, dues of 15.00 are payable in January. In order to have a complete roster for the club booklet, the final payment should be made no later than March.

 Bring your crazy-patch sock for the next stitch. Sue Haering will be sharing her talent with us.

 Remember to buy your fabric for the mystery quilt project  on February  10^th at the Port Clinton Library. The cutting directions will be available soon. The committee needs the names of those participating in the project and will ask for a commitment on the 24^th.

.Birthday celebrants are, Jo Coon 1/2,  Terry Johnson 1/24, Cindi Reaper 1/26, Jan Foard 1/20, Kathy Baker 1/13  and Happy Anniversary to  Carol Brown 1/22.

The sign-up sheet will be passed at the January meeting. If you have a special committee or a preference for being a hostess, please sign up early. Otherwise the blanks will be filled in by the officers so that everyone of the members has the OPPORTUNITY to serve.
