We did not have a special program in October, but it sure was nice to just sit and visit for a change. Sandy Laipply who did our program in September came as a guest of Polly Stuckman and brought boxes of goodies for all to go through and add to our individual “stashes of stuff.” I’m not sure if we should be thanking her or not!!!! (I know my husband would be hard pressed to thank anyone who helps to contribute to any of my many “creative” habits!!)
The fundraiser committee passed out raffle tickets to all members present for the many dinners to the area restaurants. We have until early next year to sell, so let’s do all we can to make this fundraiser a success.
Catherine Lewis shared her challenge quilt she completed and it was gorgeous! The Guild voted to purchase musical charms to give to any member that finishes the challenge this year. We have until March ladies…lets get stitchin’!!
The ’09-’10 challenge is “Symphony in Stitches” to go along with the theme of the quilt show for next year. The parameters are as follows:
If anyone has not finished Sue Koblin’s block, it is due this Wed at our meeting. I will be passing mine out (if I get them put together…this working full time is for the birds!!!) Here is the schedule for the rest of the year.
