March, 2008
Ohio Star Quilters' Guild Newsletter
Today, after
all the colored eggs have been found ( I hope) the meal consumed and
the dishes washed, I can put all my attention on the upcoming workshop
with Kathy Shaker. There are still openings for anyone interested. The
Easy Bias Covered Curves should prove to be a technique that is easy to
accomplish and have great flexibility for your creative side. Kathy's
lecture will be held Friday April 11 th at 7 PM at the Oak Harbor Junior
High School on Church St. Anyone attending who is not a member of our
guild or the Oak Harbor guild, will be charged $5.00. I encourage
you to make every effort to attend. Kathy is coming all the way from
Bend, Oregon and you will see what this technique is all about, even if
you are not taking the class. The workshop will be Saturday April 12th
9-12 or 1-4. and the cost is $25. Please have your money in to Sandy
Erwin by the meeting Wed. March 26th.
And it's
PARTY TIME to celebrate another wonderful year of quilting friends,
friendships and learning. We also usher in our new officers, Carol
Swope and Kim Hirt, co-presidents and Barb Hanny, treasurer. Pat and I
want to thank everyone who has worked on committees, given of you time
and talents to make our tenure a very pleasant one.
This will be
your last chance to pay you dues so that your name and data can be
included in the Membership Directory for the new Guild year. Dues are
$30.
