- How did you get started in
quilting?
A friend of mine from Berea,OH introduced
me to quilting over 20 years ago.
- What accomplishments are you
most proud of?
I won a 2nd place ribbon for an
appliquéd and pieced wall hanging one of the Kaleidoscope Quilt Shows
- Have you ever put one of your
quilted pieces in a quilt show?
I generally do not enter quilt shows. I
quilt just for me and like to give most of my quilts to family and
friends.
- Finish these sentences:
- I still can’t get the hang
of . .
Sharp points on hand applique.
- The biggest enemy of
creativity is . .
Probably myself. I am too critical of myself. I am a real good
“copier”. I need to just “let go of myself and see what happens.”
- What was your worst quilting
disaster?
My worst disasters came in my early
quilting years when I didn’t think it was important to square up blocks
so in the end nothing laid flat!
- Which quilter’s work do you
most admire and why?
Diane Gaudynski – she does beautiful
machine quilting. Check out her website at:
www.dianegaudynski.net
- What creative endeavor do you
plan to learn next?
More long arm quilting – I want to get
better and better!
- What advice would you give to
someone starting out in quilting?
