  1. How did you get started in quilting?

Jackie Hopfinger asked me to join the quilt guild.  She said I’d love it and she was right.  I was hooked.

  1. What accomplishments are you most proud of?

All the full size quilts I have made for my 11 grandchildren as graduation gifts.  I have one coming up next year that I need to make a quilt for.

  1. Have you ever put one of your quilted pieces in a quilt show?

Yes – just the local quilt show.

  1. Finish these sentences:
    • I still can’t get the hang of . .

good appliqué – I do it but I am not good at it.  I love piecing.  I do not have much patience with hand quilting.

    • The biggest enemy of creativity is . .

  1. What was your worst quilting disaster?

A baby quilt that had colors that ran together.  All the colors looked the same.

  1. Which quilter’s work do you most admire and why?

Pat Mensing – she does beautiful work and she is talented at so many different mediums.  And she always has something that she has just completed.

  1. What creative endeavor do you plan to learn next?

Applique

  1. What advice would you give to someone starting out in quilting?

Stick with it – it will come.  It just takes patience!
